Internships

We have internships available for all areas of interest. There is a great place in our court advocacy program where one can work with our special court advocates with intakes, trial prep, and court appearances. Each student will learn about Orders of Protection and the judicial system’s handling of domestic violence cases, as well as work with clients to achieve the best possible legal outcome for their individual case.

There is also internship availability here in the office for anyone interested in office management or general domestic violence issues. This is where a person can get quite a bit of client interaction when working with intakes, taking client calls, and helping with various office tasks.

Our shelter is another good place to participate in an internship. There, one can learn the basics of shelter management and help with the intake process performed by our social worker. Through our children’s program there, a student can also gain experience with children from abusive households.
